      Unweighted GPA Calculator
This tool is designed to help you understand how Pepperdine recalculates high school GPAs. All high school (including dual credit) grades on your transcript are unweighted and recalculated during the application review for both first-year and transfer students. Here's how it works:

Step 1: Locate all of your core academic classes from your transcript(s) for 9th-11th grade for first-year applicants or 1th-12 grade for transfer applicants. This includes Math, Science, History, English, Social Science, Computer Science, Foreign Language, Religion, and one Fine Arts class. For your Fine Arts credit, pick the Fine Arts course you received the highest grade in. For Computer Science, we accept Computer Science Principles and AP Computer Science I & II. We do not accept any engineering courses.

Step 2: Input the total number of grades received for each letter across all of the above core academic classes. If you received 5 A's, 2 B-'s, and 1 C+, you would input A: 5, B: 2, and C:1. Include the grades from any dual credit classes. Please note that we do not weight the grades for honors, AP, or IB classes.

Step 3: Click "Submit" to see your unweighted GPA recalculation! Please keep in mind that while this is a helpful tool to get an idea of your GPA used when evaluating your application, your actual recalculation may differ.
